Hypnotherapy is classed as ‘alternative’ therapy – which completely confounds me! I”m not particularly ‘hippy’ or ‘alternative’ I just use a type of therapy what works really well! This form of therapy, shifts thoughts and beliefs and re-works the stories we’ve told ourselves, so they serve us better. A friend described hypnotherapy as ‘finding out who you are under who you became’. I don’t ‘do’ anything to anyone; i just guide and prod, discuss and challenge until there is change!
Having found my website, you are probably wondering how Brixton Hypnotherapy can help you, and whether I am the right therapist for you, and if the training, expertise, tools and techniques I use will help resolve your issues.
In this video, I outline the process; how I work and what you can expect. When you are looking for a therapist, you should be firstly thinking what type of therapy feels right for you and secondly, is the therapist someone you want to work with.
So please watch the video, have a look around the website and then send me an email so we can arrange a free 20mins chat.
I see clients in person and on Zoom from my therapy clinic in Brixton, South London. I like actually being face to face, but the benefit of Zoom is how I can leave clients chilling out on their sofa!
I am trained to an advanced level in Clinical, Medical and Psycho-dynamic therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic (NLP), Regression and Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed, as well as Solution-focussed, Ericksonian and medical hypnosis. I have done several courses in body-work, Polyvagal Theory and Family constellations. My style of working is to use my skills, experience and instinct. I combine in whichever way I think will encourage change.
This is an email I received from a client of mine, a GP, after five sessions, who I helped guide through a phobia.
Amy had four sessions with me and I saw her transform in so many ways.
Over eight sessions, my client transformed into a happier version of herself. Incredible to witness and an honour to work with.
This is an extract from an email I received from a recent client. She suffered panic attacks on a regular basis.
Karen has four gorgeous boys – and paid them £2 to go off and give her 30 mins to try hypnotherapy with me! She said I could film her ‘before’ and ‘after’ – this is ‘after’.
A full-time teacher, a busy mum and no family in London to help out; Salome talks to me after a 30 min session of hypnotherapy about the process.
